Despite her retirement announcement back in 2011, Jazmine Sullivan is making a comeback in the music industry. The ‘Holding You Down’ artist has came out from three years of hiding, with her newest single “Dumb.” Her melodic voice with hard hitting beat, gives her song an devious feeling.
The song also features Philly rap artist Meek Mill on a verse. The pair’s collaboration gives us listeners both sides to the relationship story. Making ‘Dumb’ as her comeback single, has left us fans wanting more from her.
Back in January of 2011, Jazmine tweeted her fans an announcement of her departure from music. Jazmine told fans that she “got some things to figure out.” Well it seems like she got everything all worked out, and I am excited to see how she reveals that in her music.
“Dumb” is the first single off her upcoming album, Reality Show. She will also be performing at this year’s annual Essence Music Festival in New Orleans July 3.
