Elie Tahari has announced that it will jump in the playground with other high fashion designers to create fashionable activewear. The New York City based designer will debut officially during the first quarter of the year with preorder becoming available on January 5th at elietahari.com with items shipping out to customers in late February.
The sports and leisure wear will be sold at Elie Tahari boutiques, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Bergdorf. The line will feature leggings, active wear tops and jackets and will cater to the growing population of women who are incorporating their favorite gym outfits in their everyday wardrobes. Elie Tahari’s active wear line will seek to elevate a woman’s favorite go to yoga pant while still maintaining the comfort of being able to leave the house and run errands without the fuss of putting together an outfit. “People want great activewear, not just to go to the gym or to hang out on a Saturday afternoon. They go to work, to dinner, with it now. If you go to a restaurant and you look around, I used to count 90 percent jeans. Now, that’s changed — it’s leggings.” Tahari told WWD.
Talk about being comfortable and fashionable at the same time. Can we say this line seems to be a winner. Check out a preview of some of the line below!
