Will love be strong enough to cast out the negatives and propel the couple closer to their dreams, or will their demons attack when they least expect it? Zo begins feeling himself as his hustle advances to the next level of the game; he begins to get involved in designer drugs and parties like a rock star, which is until his number one love vanishes in the blink of an eye. Zariah finds love in a man where she least expects it, could this be a gift or her greatest curse? In the follow up to A Hustlaz Dream, the love for money drives these individuals to a point of no return, will they crash and burn or wake up before the curtain call?… This is A Hustlaz Nightmare .

Excerpt:

Zo didn’t hear the girls enter being that he was tucked away in his room with the music playing softly in the background. He had parked his car in the garage for the night to keep the neighbors out of his business, plus he knew Zariah’s school didn’t let out for a while, so he was cool… he thought.

“Don’t take all day, Z, you know I’m not trying to be here if that nigga show up.”

“I know, I’m not. Come on.”

They headed up the stairs, Jai’Myah, being a bit tired from stocking supplies at her store all day, trotted a few feet behind.

Nearing the room Zariah thought nothing of the music playing behind the closed door being that her alarm clock woke her up every morning with the smooth sounds of KBLX 102.9. She just figured it was still on since she wasn’t there earlier to turn it off. Jai’Myah watched as she pushed the door opened, everything happened so fast that it gave her a swimming in the head.

Zo barely had enough time to pull himself out of Juanita’s rectum as Zariah came flying across the room, tackling the poor girl. As soon as Jai’Myah realized what was going on she joined in on the attack. Zo scrambled off the bed in search of something to cover himself up with.

Growing bored and irritated with Zariah always complaining about how stupid he was for what went down between him and Zeh’Shon, and the constant advice that he should go to his friend and apologize, Zo distanced himself from her, filling the void with Juanita. Juanita, being a tough cookie to crack during the first attempts finally gave in and started seeing Zo again. Even after the way he dogged her, she felt that she’d have better luck this time around.

Knowing how disrespectful it was to go to another woman’s house, Zo assured her that he and Zariah were breaking up and she wouldn’t be home due to her busy schedule. So like a lonely puppy she followed his lead, believing every sweet word.

As blow after blow and kick after kick landed on Juanita’s small frame, she still somehow managed to break free from beating and scurry from the house. Blood rushed from her fresh wounds as she wiped her eyes to focus on her escape. Jai’Myah chased her to the door to make sure she was”Don’t take all day, Z, you know I’m not trying to be here if that nigga show up.”

As blow after blow and kick after kick landed on Juanita’s small frame, she still somehow managed to break free from beating and scurry from the house. Blood rushed from her fresh wounds as she wiped her eyes to focus on her escape. Jai’Myah chased her to the door to make sure she was out of there. She then rushed back to the upper level, after hearing Zariah yelling at the top of her lungs and things crashing into the wall.

Jai’Myah tried to stop Zariah from screaming and throwing everything in sight at Zo who was trying to plead his case. Zariah acted like a woman possessed as she ran and gave Zo a right hook to the chin. Off reflex, Zo slapped her so hard she spun around and fell into the wall. Though she was dazed she rushed him again, operating off of pure adrenaline. Jai’Myah, trying once again to stop her, was pushed aside like a rag doll.

After hitting Zo this time, he punched her hard enough to

knock her out. Jai’Myah reached to catch her before she slammed her head on the edge of the small nightstand, positioned on her side of the bed, but was too late.        Jai’Myah instantly rushed Zo who was sprinting out the door. Throwing punches as fast as her short arms could move. She then ran back to Zariah’s side. Noticing that her friend wasn’t responding to her calls, she rushed to the phone and dialed 911.

“911, what’s the state of your emergency?”
