[New Song]: Jamie Foxx ‘You Changed Me’ Ft. Chris Brown

Used to be the kind of n*** that didn’t want to settle down.” ~ Jaime Foxx

It’s pretty clear that Jamie Foxx can go do a movie, but still return to his love of music. The Academy Award winning actor who has given great performances in films like “Ray Charles,” “Django,” and made us laugh in the sketch comedy show “In Living Color” is back.

Today marks the release of his new single “You Changed Me” featuring Chris Brown. The song is every man’s “eventual typical anthem” which to meet the one that motivates him to want to turn everyone else away.

Notable lyric includes:

Use to be the kind of n***a that didn’t want to settle down….All the things I use to be I ain’t no more…Shawty you’re the change I’ve been hoping for….I be a player for life…I switch that up in one night….

Review: “You Changed Me,” which is available on iTunes and Amazon, is a solid record. Here’s why — every man wants love. Whether you have a reputation for being a playa, the nice guy or a combination of both, we’re all going to want someone who will put up with our “crazy” and love us regardless. Now remember, songs like this can make you think about settling down on a great contender for your love life. Just don’t go around having speeches about, “Baby, we should be together on Monday” and then you’re ready to give someone the boot by Friday due to an argument; that never really works FYI.

Foxx’s voice still maintains a versatility that can go either way with today’s youth to mature crowd. Having Brown on the record is quite an ironic touch given his publicized relationships with both ex-girlfriends Rihanna and Karrueche Tran however; vocally, he’s a good co-star alongside Foxx.

The song’s lyrics are for the mature man who is okay being with one person. It speaks to the guy who has discovered not only what he wants, but can strive to make it work when the good outweighs the bad. If you’r still on the “hea*x stroll,” then this can either motivate your heart or remind you that the one who you may be good for you isn’t someone you’re ready for…yet. Just note, they ain’t gone stay single forever…
