Tragedy struck Nicki Minaj’s camp yesterday as she and the rest of the hip-hop world learned that her tour manager, De’Von Pickett, was killed in Philadelphia along with Eric Parker, who was injured during the incident and is still in critical condition.
According to NecoleBitchie, the two had flown to Philly to assist Nicki with her tour rehearsals and both were stabbed outside of a bar.
Nicki took to Twitter to confirm and report on how devastated she was to learn that they were attacked. She described it as, “Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad.”
K.Michelle, who also worked with De’Von, took to Instagram and posted this:
“I’m in real shock. Woke up this morning to some awful news that you passed. My heart is broken. You managed my first tour ever the “Rebellious Soul Tour” You Were so supportive and excited about the growth of my career. When are we going to stop killing eachother? They don’t even know they took away one of the best. You’ve guided so many careers. The road for many artist won’t be the same. My heart hurts @daydaydoesdis Praying for your family and I know you are in a better place.”
Fabolous expressed his condolences for De’Von and extended prayers as well. He even explained how he worked previously with the two and how they were loyal and hard-working.
