A lot of people are mad about comments that R&B singer Tyrese made on his Instagram account. In a post, he called women out for wearing hair weaves, fake eyelashes, and having elective cosmetic surgery. Needless to say, women weren’t too pleased with Tyrese bashing them for simply trying to make themselves feel beautiful. It’s one thing to prefer your woman to be natural, however, it’s a totally different situation when you shame other women for they way that they choose to take care of themselves.
Tyrese claims that he was simply giving women advice straight out of his book Manology: Secrets of Your Man’s Mind Revealed. Though his words of his post were derived from the book, it’s interesting that he would only single out women for their charades when men also indulged in similar practices. True, men usually don’t adorn fake nails or eyelashes, but they do have a history of sometimes wearing hair pieces. Men are also no strangers to cosmetic surgery, you’d be surprised some of the things that they have nipped and tucked.
Since Tyrese wants to out our women, let’s be fair and give a few cosmetic procedures that men like to partake in. Some of these include hair transplants, botox, nose jobs, liposuction, and scrotoplasty.
Hair Transplant
Hair loss is real out here. Not every man can be content with rocking a shiny dome like Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, or Steve Harvey. Once the hair starts to recede it the loss of hair can take a little bit of confidence for a lot of men with every inch. Luckily, Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) or a hair transplant can restore was bad genes and aging has taken away.

FUE is the process of removing individual hairs from the sides or back of the head and implanting them on the parts of the scalp where hair no longer grows. The recipient is placed under local anesthesia for approximately eight hours to complete the process. An important thing to know about hair transplants is that they rarely work if the person has already gone completely bald. Also, it’s not a permanent solution to the problem of hair loss, every couple of years the recipient will have to undergo the process again to maintain their look.
Botox

A little Botox never hurt anyone, unless they’re allergic. Botox is a neurotoxin that treats muscle stiffness, muscle spasms, excessive sweating, and loss of bladder control. More importantly, it’s used as an anti-aging agent, which makes all those wrinkles magically reduce lines and wrinkles.
Taken in the form of injections, Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. Crow’s feet, frown lines, and wrinkles become less obvious because the muscles can no longer contract. The best part of this procedure is that it only takes a couple of minutes and no anesthesia is required. Injecting Botox into the armpits can also prevent excessive sweating. Armpit stains on your white oxford button-down are very unattractive.
Liposuction

It’s not fun being fat. What do you do when diet and exercise seem to not be enough to slim down? Even if you do get slimmer there’s always that small pocket of fat taunting you, robbing you of your greatness. Have no fear, that’s why Liposuction is here.
Traditionally, Liposuction basically sucks the fat out of the body through a tube. A small tube attached to a vacuum is inserted into the body through an incision. Usually, the surgeon will move it around the layer of fat until that fat cells are broken up and sucked into the tube. There’s also the option of Liposelection, which involves using ultrasound waves to break up the fat prior to using the tube and vacuum. Breaking up the fat prior to sucking it out will ensure that all other tissues are left undamaged. It’s gentler and less invasive procedure compared to Liposuction.
Men may also decide to have rhinoplasty (nose job) or scrotoplasty (penis lift). Plastic surgeons are almost like genies, your wish is their command. As long as that wish is within the limits of the law.
