Ever heard that saying less is more? I’m sure that you have. It is a fact that Some things just don’t require a lot and not making a statement can still make a statement, especially in the fashion world. Me personally, I live by this a good bit of the time. If you notice, you never see me with too much jewelry on and I really like to focus more on the colors and pieces that I am putting together. Knowing when and what to add can really make or break a look.
Now in the winter months, more is good because if you wear less, you would probably freeze to death. This is usually the time of layers and accessories to add to all the fur and glam but as I have told you all before, the weather in Georgia is bipolar so sometimes you may catch yourself about to have a heatstroke trying to be wintertime fine. In this case, it wasn’t so cold so I slipped into this casual sexy midi, added a coat, and threw the less is more rule out the window as far as accessories because this necklace….nothing but neck.
Stephanie Bijoux has to be my favorite jewelry designers. Up until I saw her pieces showcased at NYFW in February 2015, I had to have her in my life. Each of her designs it custom made and has unique qualities you may never come across again. Her signature fringe is one of my fave attributes but the various colors also make it stand out. This is my second necklace from her collection and I fall more in love every time. When I saw it I had to have it and the fact it wraps around twice with a magnetic closure made it to die for. It was the perfect fit for this clean neutral look and the cobalt shoe was added for coordination to really make it pop.
So long story short, know how to balance your look. Less may be more but sometimes more is good too especially when it comes to the neck area. Based on the neckline of your garment, how you adorn your top half really makes a different. In this case there was really nothing to the look at all but once you make your way to the neck, that is by far the biggest statement at all. So keep it simple, but keep it glam.
