R&B’s favorite rebel K. Michelle has released another track on iTunes entitled, “Going Under.” The track samples the famous lines, “It’s like a jungles sometimes, makes me wonder how I keep from going under” from Grandmaster Flash’s “The Message.” The track is another heartfelt song filled with pain searching for an escape.
Being a few day away from the release of her sophomore effort K. Michelle isn’t taking this opportunity lightly at all. Her focus looks to have intensified and grow in a direction that she hasn’t done before. Still very much an R&B artist she’s opening up her vocal ability to welcome in various listeners across from other genres.
Luckily, her new label is supporting her in the direction she’s chosen for her career. Looks like December 9th is going to be a time to remember for K. Michelle without a doubt. In a time where artist are starving for innovation and an outlet she’s clear on what she wants and purpose of her growth.
