We were first introduced to Mishon with his hit single, “Just A Kiss”, but now the singer has returned all gown up with a message attached to his music.
After the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign ran like wildfire through the media and social media he was moved to release his most recent single, “Legal Tender”. The track itself has amazing leverage and brings awareness to anyone listening. A few summers ago Lil Wayne did the same and touched on the topic of girls moving too fast with his hit, “How To Love”.
Mishon touches the same issue geared towards women who run after life in the fast lane. As many of us may know already life in the fast lane isn’t worth the trouble. He continued with the message:
“I feel like this is what’s needed right now. I went through this situation with my ex so this song has always been special to me. After we separated she chose the fast life and lost who she was. I did this song a year ago and with the events taking place in Nigeria (#bringbackourgirls) and seeing some these young girls in U.S. choosing a fast life style; I decided to put a visual to the song. Hopefully, if at least one person sees this and it changes their life for the better, then I’ve done my job.”
Life after his hit show Lincoln Heights seems to have Mishon focused on growth as a musical artist. With his current EP titled “The Gift” fans can find the evolution from child to young man. Check him out and see for yourself what Mishon has in store for you!
