Fans have been waiting over 10 years for an * Nsync album and the time has finally come…sort of. Sony Music Entertainment has released a surprise album of *Nsync’s greatest hits, but it also features some rare tracks that were recorded by the group but never released.
The two-disc essentials album was so top secret that the band members were not included on details of the project release date…at all. (Maybe Justin, but that’s none of our business). Lance Bass tweeted, “I love when the record label doesn’t even tell you they are releasing a new ‘NSYNC album tomorrow! #TheyCare,”
Uh oh! Obviously there aren’t any hard feelings. Lance Bass went on to post a link to the iTunes version of the album. Chris Kirkpatrick also went to twitter to share his thoughts tweeting, “It’s great to release some of the songs that had never made a record before! I’m glad our long time fans get some new music”.
Joey Fatone: Pretty interesting this album comes out which I really had no idea and it’s in the top of Amazon and iTunes lol owe it to our fans THANK U
JC Chasez: I had the strangest dream last night that some old friends and I had a top 10 record on iTunes. Crazy right…#shocked #humbled #thankful
The fans are still there! Despite having absolutely no advertisements or promos, the album has already sold out on Amazon after only being available for a day. Now, imagine what kind of damage they would do if they came out with a brand new album! Don’t get excited, after seeing that millisecond reunion on the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013, that will not be happening.
