Plot Twist: Shutting Down Jay Z & Rihanna Rumors

Some might say that celebrities live in their own bubble.  They live lavishly, traveling the world, dinning at the greatest restaurants and have oodles and oodles of money to blow. With this lifestyle also comes the sacrifice of personal life and privacy as we see way too many times with A-list celebrities. Rumors spill over in the tabloids and spread like wildfire on the blogs. One of the biggest glances into the life of Beyonce and Jay Z started back in 2005 when rumors began to surface that Jay Z was having an affair with rising pop star, Rihanna.

It sure seemed that way since Rihanna was spending large amounts of time with Jay in the studio, as she was signed to Def Jam records. During that time Beyonce released her hit song “Ring the Alarm,” making fans wonder if these were subliminal shots to new famed singer Rihanna. But like most things in Hollywood, things aren’t always what they seem.

Rihanna’s former publicist,Johnathan Hay, recently stepped forward to admit that he did indeed start and pump up the rumors to get Rihanna more publicity at the time. Hay says that he didn’t mean for it to become a big ordeal, he just wanted to get the people talking and asking about Rihanna. He never though that 10 years down the line, the issue would addressed in the New York Times Best Seller “Becoming Beyonce.” He believes he has made his amends with the couple publicly and Rihanna. For the future, he plans to stay way from publicity stunts and let his work as a music producer speak for itself to get the people talking.
