It is that time of the year when everyone is worried about preparing for the swimsuit season. Whether you are on a diet or practicing living a healthier lifestyle, working out should be an item on your to do list. As important as it is to workout, it is also important to eat correctly without starving yourself. After working out, you are putting a lot of strain on your muscle tissue. Therefore it is important to eat a snack which contains protein and carbohydrates to replenish your body after you workout. If you are looking for a few ideas, here are 6 smart snacks to eat after your successful workout.

1. Banana protein shake

2. Tuna sandwich on wheat bread

3. Peanut butter and banana on rice cakes

4. Hummus and pita (one of my personal favorite snacks)

5. Low-fat yogurt and fresh berries

6. Turkey and cheese with apple slices (without bread)

These snacks have a good amount of protein and carbohydrates which will fuel your body even more after a workout.
