‘Pretty Little Liars’ X Aeropostale Collection

‘Pretty Little Liars’ X Aeropostale Collection

Since 2010, young people have been religiously following the ABC Family original series, “Pretty Little Liars.” The show’s costume designer Mandi Line pitched a perfect partnership idea to Warner Bros. and with the help of Troian Bellisario (a star from the series) created a cute, sassy collection for fans to enjoy. Every item is designed to reflect each of the little liars’ taste; Emily, Hanna, Aria, and Spencer all have very distinct styles that work together to form the “cool girl’s” clique. Their differing personalities reflect in how they dress, which gravitate young girls from various backgrounds that relate to one or more of these girls. It’s no wonder this show has gone on to become the network’s most watched series, with a minimum of 2.5 million views per episode. Did I mention that the show’s popularity lead to a spin-off? Yes! Ravenswood is proof that the legacy is continuously building, all thanks to dedicated followers.

According to the designer, the collection is a response to the ongoing demand from viewers who are obsessed with PPL’s fashion. On January 7th, the same day as the show’s mid 4th season premiere, some of these fans gathered at Aeropostale’s Time Square location for the launch of a collection inspired by and created for them. After all, it was the thousands of likes on an instagram picture that gave Mandi Line the extra push that led to the creation of this collection. Once again, the power of social media proves how beneficial and necessary its use can be. Not to be overlooked, the premiere broke records as the most talked about on twitter with over 1.3 million tweets. Not bad PLL fans, not bad at all!

Is it safe to say that “Pretty Little Liars” is Gossip Girl reincarnated? I would have to say yes. For the teen demographic, the fashion is needed about the same as, if not more than, the show’s next episode. Don’t panic teen fashion queens, this will not be your only chance to dress like your favorite character. The second round of looks hit stores February 6th. It is said to be even more fantastic than the first. Until then, shop the Pretty Little Liars x Aeropostale collection online or in a store near you. Items range from $29 to $119.
