Warner Bros. crime thriller “Prisoners”, rated R will have audiences on the edge of their seats. With an all-star cast including Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo, Terrence Howard, Paul Dano, and Maria Bello performances will have you second guessing how much trust you can put into the idea of a safe neighborhood.
Set in Boston, the film is about a father who takes the lead in finding information about the disappearance of his young daughter and her best friend. Director Denis Villeneuve gives the audience a chance to view the kidnapper being kidnapped if the father has the right idea. After his six-year-old daughter is kidnapped, a small town carpenter (Jackman) butts heads with a young, brash detective (Gyllenhaal) in charge of the investigation. Feeling failed by the law, he captures the man he believes responsible, holding him captive in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with his daughter, whom he’s convinced is still alive.
