If you are up past 12am on most nights, you have seen hair guru Chaz Dean making hair dreams come true with his wildly popular WEN Hair and Body Care line featured on the addicting infomercials.
Now the world-renown Wen creator has introduced Sixthirteen, Eau De Toilette, a fragrance spin-off of the same-scent hair care line by Dean. This scent boasts a blend of essential oils along with a mix of lemon, lime, and bergamot on the bottom note. Peppermint and vanilla bean fill in the fragrance with a touch of rosemary and basil on the top note.
When I first tried this fragrance, I worried that the lemon and vanilla would combine for a sweet headache later on. However, the rosemary and bergamot ground the fragrance so that it does not wear too sweetly throughout the day. Over the course of the day, the scent wears into a spicy, slightly sweet, musky aroma.
I can definitely appreciate the unisex appeal of this new offering. It combines citrus, which ladies tend to like and spicy musk, which men seem to gravitate towards.
The scent debuted exclusively at chazdean.com last month. Dean promises lots of surprises in store for his QVC viewers though so if you are a fan, be sure to check him out there this month.
