According to Fayette County, Ross (surname William Roberts), was stopped in his Bentley on Highway 279 by a deputy for a window tint violation.
The deputy reports that when Ross rolled down the window, the car smelled of marijuana and after searching the car, the deputy found five rolled marijuana cigarettes thus causing Ross to be placed in police custody.
Channel 2’s Action News (WSBTV) reporter Tom Jones asked Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb:
“Will you have to make any accommodations for him in the jail because of his celebrity?”
In response Babb replied: “Well, we look at everybody on a case-by-case basis. We classify anybody in the jail on how we need to handle it, so we look at that as well.”
Rick Ross was bonded out of jail last night.
Gotta be more careful, Rick. You live in Atlanta so you should know how the police operate here!
