Rita Ora fans rejoice! Miss Ora covers the May Issue of Elle Magazine, which also happens to be the Women In Music issue. Rita is most known for being signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint, as well as for her single “R.I.P.” (which was written and originally sang by rapper Drake). Her debut album, Ora debuted in the United Kingdom at number one and also spawned three number one singles, “Hot Right Now”, “How We Do (Party)” and the aforementioned “R.I.P.”.
In the issue Rita opens up about various topics such as meeting Jay-Z, her childhood idols, and staying true to herself while still satisfying her label and her fans. When asked about what it was like to meet Jay-Z she answered, “I didn’t think in a million years that I’d fly to New York to meet one of the biggest moguls of all time.” She names the Spice Girls as her idols and says they were mesmerizing and says that she won’t be letting anyone dictate what she will sing or wear.
For her spread, Rita rocks looks from Calvin Klein to Marchesa, serving us high fashion while still allowing her own quirky style to shine through.
Do you think this will be what Rita needs to finally get the same recognition in the United States that she gets in the UK?
