Runway Report: Spring/Summer Couture 2024

Runway Report: Spring/Summer Couture 2024

I’m picky when it comes to runway. The spring/summer couture 2024 runway has given me something I haven’t gotten from runway in sometime—excitement. Spring/summer couture 2024 has kick-started something in me. I’m all about pieces being functional and unique. Alberta Ferretti’s spring 2024 runway collection was stylishly relaxed and softly dramatic. Luxury doesn’t always have to come overloaded with embellishment. This collection is a perfect combination of luxury and comfort.

There were many collections this Spring/summer 2024 couture season that stood out to me.

The creative power of certain fashion creatives blows my mind. If there’s one thing I could go on about, its couture. Some see it as fashion, I see runway shows as an opportunity to view art. These designer Spring/Summer couture 2024 collections have my full attention. This is style mastery at its best.

Ellie Saab

Elle Saab’s collections are always outstandingly ethereal. When it comes to luxury, Elie Saab is seemingly peerless in his ability to produce otherworldly elegance and precision.  The spring/summer couture 2024 collection is nothing short of amazing.

Tony Ward

Tony Ward is a designer that I’ve always been impressed with. I typically enjoy Tony Ward because, it’s safe to state that Tony Ward has something for literally any setting. Most designer collections have only a handful of stand-out pieces. However, Tony Ward’s runway collections are always decked with multiple, strong head-turning looks. I almost feel guilty labelling this collection with spring/summer couture because many of the pieces are seasonless (timeless).

Alberta Ferretti

Pajama perfection is the only way to describe Alberta Ferretti’s spring/summer 2024 collection. Soft colors and functional and uniquely stylish pieces give new meaning to easy breezy vacation vibes. This wildly functional collection was among my favorites this season.

I’m only recently becoming aware of designer Yanina. I haven’t been this impressed with a collection of clad-black in a long time. The stoned pieces bring an element of drama to clean and sexy looks. I’m usually on the fence with collections  that are almost entirely black. However, there’s a something about this collection that gives me a sense of nostalgia that I can quite put my finger on yet. Either way. Its more fabulous than I can say.

Tamara Ralph stood on business with her spring/summer 2024 couture collection. This was nothing short of mesmerizing. Simple, classic, and just a little dramatic.

Zuhair Murad’s spring/summer couture 2024 collection is a collection fir for royalty. Semi-Revealing gowns tied

in with glistening embellishments is won my heart. Something in me tells me that this collection is going to have some

influence in what we see on the red-carpet for the next few seasons.
