Things in D.C. have just went to another level and we’re loving it. The entire Scandal episode had to do with backstabbing and betrayal everywhere. Needless, to say that Liv was in the midst of it all, but she most certainly was. Her relationships all throughout the episode are revealing truth left and right platonic or romantic. From the start we were introduced to this week’s installment with a major blow up to the Vice President’s SUV. After such an ordeal everything began to unravel.
Once hearing of the news the Vice President was almost dying Mellie raced back into the hands of the the V.P. not just once, but twice. She admits to turning her back on him and then was reminded how much she cared imagining him no longer there.
Has as issues with a warm in her phone and goes to Liv for help to fix the issue. Her first instinct is to think that someone is after her. Liv later informs her it was a common bug that hit her phone, but was that the truth?
Is in turmoil over the idea that he’s been trapped by what Elizabeth has done and admits to Liv that he placed the warm on her phone. Liv struggles to stay loyal to a friend or a client. She sides with Cyrus and informs him to stay away from Michael. Cyrus decides to cancel plans with Michael, but then Michael shows up at his house by “pulling some strings.” Cyrus lets him in and takes “no mercy on him” sexually. Later we find out that Michael had far more information on Cy, but never gave the info to Elizabeth since he valued him as a good man.
Huck & Quinn
After finally seeing his son following some years of an estranged relationship Huck almost feels like father of year. Javi his son then gets curious as to why Huck left and what he does for a living. Huck apologies and explains his occupation in a vague manner. Quinn constructs a stakeout only to find Huck at the same location one night. As she walks onto the truck he’s using to spy on Elizabeth we realize she is scheming everyone; while having a relationship with the V.P. too. As the two of them are spying on the V.P. and Elizabeth, Dan Kubiak blast through the window attempting to kill Huck. Quinn stabs him multiple times in an effort to save Huck’s life. Kubiak ends up dying only for Javi to witness it and runs away. Huck falls in tears.
Jake, Liv, and Fitz
The love triangle between these three are still causing emotions to run high. One pulls left and the other pulls right. Through the entire episode Liv battles with who to stay loyal to trying to do the right thing, but stands in a gray area. Fitz attempt to have an intimate moment with Liv where Jake is being held and declines to do so at first, but then kisses him. Jake knows nothing about the kiss, but begins to believe Olivia really does have feelings for him and is potentially fighting for his love. He even calls Liv his girlfriend in Fitz’s presence, simply to get to him. The goal is to get Rowan secluded and prosecuted for the death of the Fitz’s son, but no one gets to a solid plan until Live speaks up.
Meets Liv for diner where she has him setup to be arrested or killed, but just as he promised he’s always win. He manages to kill all the snipers outside with his men in hiding and tells Liv that he’s leaving town. He says how she’s finally alone now and will no longer look out for her. She tears up knowing deep down that he’s right.
