It’s shocking to believe that we have already made it to the winter season finale of Scandal. The show literally just came back. Either way Shonda Rhimes still has us all gasping for air. Everything that went down in this week’s episode was far from predictable. Thankfully, the show will be back in full force January 29th for us all t indulge once again. Regardless, the cast gave us all that we needed and then some to make it to the New Year!
Finds out about the affair the Andrew and Elizabeth have been carrying on. She’s angered, but confronts him later in her office face to face.
Heads over to his ex-wife’s home to see his son to address what he saw the other night. The ex-wife claims that Javi isn’t home, but Huck says he tracked him down by his cell phone and knows he’s there. Sadly, she denies him access and says she’ll call the authorities. Huck is left in shambles wanting to clear the air with Javi, but cant.
Finds herself in the hands of Charlie yet again, sexually only to realize that he was sent to kill her by Rowan with a “kill card.” She fights back in anger for what she realizes, but still seems to have an air of sexual tension between them two.
Calls Olivia out on lying about her phone being bugged by Cyrus. Olivia fires back that she knows of the affair between she and the V.P., which doesn’t frighten Liz one bit. She ends up mentioning that Cyrus has far more to worry about than her little affair. Within minutes the news is spread all over the press of Cryus and his high priced hooker Michael.
Gets exposed for his love affair with Michael by none other than Elizabeth North. The shocker is that Cyrus has no control over the situation and decides to resign from his job leaving everything behind. He begs Fitz to accept his resignation. Fitz finally caves in and gives him an exit. Liv doesn’t accept the decision and heads to his home to remind Cy exactly who he is. Her first suggestion in the episode was for Michael and Cy to tie the knot. Cyrus shoots the idea down do out of respect for his late husband James. Who would have thought Cyrus finally had morals. Eventually he agrees to stay and announces that he is marrying Michael on live television to squash the rumors and speculation. Keep in mind that marriage is arranged, which will provide Michael compensation.
Tries to handle everything at the White House and is questioned by David if she had any part of what Cyrus was doing before or after the news broke. She confirms that she doesn’t, only to reveal that her alibi is her intimate night with Leo Bergen. As a result David is livid and walks out on the questioning.
Is on a mission to find Rowan. He searches the city day and night to get the job done. Eventually he follows a source only to end up with a faulty lead.
Ends up face to face with her father as he sits in her apartment waiting for her arrival. Shocked and angered Liv orders him to get out. Rowan pulls out a gun and and slides it to the middle of the table as the two go back and forth. Rowan then comments on how Liv is just like him. Ironically later in the episode her mother says the very same thing to her. She pulls away from the table with the gun in hand pointing at her father. As she aims at him she pulls the trigger that sets Rowan over the edge. He screams over and over, “You shot me.” Truth is there was no bullet, but only a test to see of she would do it. He storms out as Liv is left in tears.
Before the episode comes to an end Liv and Jake meet at her apparent where Liv wants to forget about all her worries. She reveals that she wants Vermont with Fitz and standing in the sun with him, but she will not make a decision now. At this time she just wants to dance. The mood gets intense and Liv suggests sex on the piano. Jake heads to get some pillows and a sheet only to return to no Liv. Her glass of red wine is spilled on the couch and door wide open.
At the very same moment Andrew is in the oval office telling Fitz that his most prized possession Liv is in danger and he has something to do with it. Fitz demands to know what has happened, but gets no answer.
