The wait it over–Sex and the City is back! Airing on HBO Max, fans will finally get the chance to revisit their favorite characters, as Sex and the City gets a small reboot. I’m usually pretty skeptical about reboots (Will & Grace) however I can honestly say that I’m excited to the continuation of the story of Ms. Carrie Bradshaw and the girls. Considering how well many reboots do, maybe a limited series is better than a full comeback. Sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad–or in some cases lack-luster. While the show won’t feature Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), viewers can still look forward to seeing Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis.
The new Sex and the City is set to air on HBO Max, and will be a limited-edition series.
Whatever the case may be, I have high hopes for the Sex and the City series and can’t wait to see the stories and the fashion. Sex and the City is such a huge series, it makes sense that they brought it back—even if it is for a short time. A trailer was recently released, featuring footage of a bustling New York City background and a laptop screen typing out the words “and just like that…the story continues.” Expected to be a 10-episode special, production for Sex and the City is said to take place this spring. Considering where the story left off, I’m curious to see where the girls are currently and where they are in the story.
