Earlier this week it reported that John Singleton, the director behind some of our favorite urban classic movies, was in a coma after suffer a severe stroke. Court documents were released stating the Mr. Singleton was incapacitated and unable to make decisions himself and requesting that his mother be in charge of his financial affairs. 

Well his daughter Cleopatra Singleton has decided to take a stand and let it be known that according to doctors, he father is making progress on a daily basis. His daughter has stated that he is under heavy sedation and although he is unable to make decisions on his own behalf, there is great hope that he will make a full recovery.

Singleton’s daughter is in agreement with  her grandmother in the fact that her father’s financials should be overseen by someone. However she is not leaning towards her grandmother as her first choice for this role.  Cleopatra Singleton has stated that her grandfather or older brother should handle the business at this time.

We do hope that this matter is resolved soon. The primary focus should be on John Singleton making a full recovery at this time.
