Skylar Diggins proves that you can have beauty, balling skills, and brains. The 3rd overall draft pick for the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock has accomplished major feats in a short time.
Thrust into the spotlight after rapper Lil’ Wayne infamously tweeted “good luck to my wife Skylar Diggins and the Fighting Irish” back in 2011. He also wore her jersey on a few concert dates of his tour. The tweet sent twitter in an uproar, and fans of Wayne’s who were not familiar with Skylar, took to the internet to find out who this young beauty was.
That was 3 years ago. Since then, Skylar has graduated from Notre Dame, signed to Roc Nation Sports, been drafted by the WNBA, and her latest endeavor; being featured in Sports Illustrated’s 50th Anniversary Edition. The beauty looks amazing in the shoot. Her hair and nails were kept natural in one illustration, while her skin was bronzed and gleaming in another.
I’m sure that various beauty endorsements and modeling opportunities will be in Skylar’s future. She’s a beautiful girl that seems to be able to do it all. – Lisa Persons
