Seeing some of our favorite dresses, skirts, tops and bottoms with sheer cut-outs is not necessarily new, but for Spring 2016 it looks like sheer cut-outs and full on sheer garments are going to be where it is at and what we need to complete our wardrobes. Although, I did not attend New York Fashion Week this week, I was still keeping up with the happenings digitally and through social media so that I can bring to you all some of my predictions for Spring 2016 trends.
Kate Spade, Hervé Léger, and Phelan (a new line by Amanda Phelan, formerly an Alexander Wang knitwear designer) shows us subtle and blaring ways to rock the trend. Whether you rock the look subtlety or decide to go all out, keeping your sheer game in the black and white color scheme keeps the look classic and sophisticated; who’d thought you’d be able to mention sheer and sophisticated in the same sentence?
I have picked up a few sheer pieces that I am excited to continue to style into spring 2016. Will you play with the sheer trend this spring? Check out the collage below of some of the looks that were seen this weekend on the runways and some more affordable alternatives that you can add to your wardrobe as you prepare for spring 2016.
