Stockholm fashion footwear label Eytys known for their innovative grunge styled kicks has just recently made headlines for their latest footwear 2016 Spring/Summer Campaign. Shot in Johannesburg, the capital of Africa, the campaign evokes the revel underground creative scene in the South African capital city. The brand’s co-founder and creative director Max Schiller continues to push the focus on less obvious locations in efforts to reach the punk style enthusiasts from all over. Collaborating with stylist Gabrielle Kannemyer and photographer Kristin-Lee Moolman, the campaign explores the youth of South African culture in a series of vibrant 90’s inspired images accompanied with bucket caps and wide-leg trousers. All creatives work together to capture the outspoken South African streetwear scene, which centers as the spirit of the busy urban city. Going beyond the economic and political challenges Johannesburg faces, this campaign expands the creative scene helping to transform the image of the city by capturing authentic imagery and forward thinking fashion.
