Speculations continue to surface in regards to the hit and run Suge Knight was involved in last year that left one man dead after the CEO ran him over.
Suge has been jailed since the incident and reportedly claimed that he only ran over the victim because it was self-defense. The incident occurred during shooting of the upcoming NWA biopic, “Straight Outta Compton”.
Now the family of the victim is speaking out saying that Suge Knight did not run over Terry Carter because of self-defense, but rather due to vengeance.
According to TMZ, Carter’s family informs them that the graphic video they posted of Knight’s truck striking and ultimately killing Carter shows no signs of self-defense. Their attorney claims that Suge was targeting Bone and Carter was the one who was struck as “collateral damage”.
The family’s attorney says:
“The death was caused by unnecessary acts of violence initiated by Cle [Bone] Sloan attacking Mr. Knight and Mr. Knight choosing to retaliate by using his motor vehicle as a deadly weapon.”
The lawyer also says that Suge had an easy escape of the situation but was so furious by Bone’s forcefulness that he targeted Bone and Carter was basically in the way, and that Carter did not set him up as Suge claims.
This incident is getting deeper and deeper. It looks like Suge’s going to need one hell of a lawyer.
