Mens Fashion Steps up to a whole new level with Miguel Wilson Collection
As I’ve stated before, the spring, much like the fall is a transitional season. Not at all like the summer or winter, which are extremes of opposing sides of the temperate spectrum. Spring happily brings with it a more refined and stylishly dramatic element to menswear that I’ve been longing to see. The Miguel Wilson collection embodies all of the stylish elements that I’ve been seeking in a menswear collection this is season. Being completely honest, this kind of aesthetic is what I wish we’d seen at the Academy awards a few weeks ago. The style at the red-carpet, or lack-there-of was noted as a major down point in menswear. But that was then, and this is now. It would be wrong of me, to criticize someone’s aesthetic and not tell them how to right a their wrongs. For those of you still wondering, Miguel Wilson is the answer.
As many of us have already noted throughout the decade, men’s fashion has the tendency to be somewhat stagnant, so I appreciate any advancement that stretches away from the standard that we’re all so familiar with. One rule that I like to go by is, if you’re going to play on the classics, do them boldly. Pay attention to small details and keep accessories in mind. Cufflinks, watches, earrings, and rings seem small when counted alone, but make a major difference when being applied together in creating a look.
Exuberant, rich, and refined pieces elegantly combined, create a collection worth eyeing and worth making a part of your style arsenal. Among my favorite looks is the combination of a blue suit and brown oxfords. This is a classic look that has not only aged well, but will continue turn heads for decades to come. If blue is a bit too, subtle for your taste, going with a print in warm wine hues is always a stylish option. Whatever selection you go for, keep in mind that tailoring and fit are as equally important as color and accessories. You don’t want a suit that fits too tightly, or one that is too baggy.
