The Cast of Black Nativity talk about Why this is a MUST SEE Movie

The New holiday movie Black Nativity, starring Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J Blige, Nas, Jacob Latimore, Tyrese, and produced by Bishop TD Jakes  just hit theaters and we cant tell you enough that this movie is a must see for the whole family.

So what better thing to do this thanksgiving night than to go to the movies and see the Fab Black Nativity.  Well if my word isn’t enough to get you away from the table today maybe the cast can lol. I had the pleasure of sitting down with a few of the lovely cast member to get their thoughts on the project. As i sat down for a round table discussion with the cast I felt a sense of warmth and closeness from each of them. Not only were they polite and personable but  they each seemed to lease a piece of themselves in the room as they left.

One of the most memorable conversations though was with Tyrese Gibson.  One of the things that stuck out the most about this conversation was the fact that he felt dads need to be around their son’s more and struck home with me .  Knowing that a lot of African american sons are left fatherless and grow up with only a mother made my heart feel warm hearing a man with such conviction say these words. Black Nativity also touches on that in a way that i think will register with all African American men.

As i sat with Mary J. Blige and talked with her about the movie you could see she was very excited about it and even though she was very unfamiliar with all of Langston Hughes stories and projects she  was delighted to play an angel in the movie.

My conversation with Angela Bassett was one that i truly enjoyed and will never forget for all of my days. She really took this role seriously and worked really hard on it. In the movie you will here Anglea Sing for the first time ever in a movie and her voice is just divine. She said she really trained for that and wanted to give it her all. She also said  really felt like Jacob was very professional. She thought he was so much older because of how he carried his self on set.

Again Make sure you all go see this MOVIE tonight!! You wont be disappointed I promise
