The Devil Comes To Network Television…Check Out Fox’s “Soon To Be A Hit Show,” Lucifer!

From the pages of a Neil Gaiman comic (creator of Sandman) comes a different twist on a tale concerning the Prince of Darkness in the form of Fox’s new show, Lucifer. Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has become dreary of and uninterested in Hell, and its workings, and opts to move to Los Angeles in his “retirement.” He seems to be living the high life until one of “belongings” is gunned down in front of him. Oddly, he cares for the woman and begins to help an LAPD detective (Lesley-Ann Brandt) track down her killers. However, his one good act and retirement seems to have upset the powers of Hell, and in his absence are threatening to invade the Earth. Will evil incarnate finally do the right thing? After all he is Satan

This show looks amazing. The casting for Lucifer is nothing short of awesome. This is how you would/should expect The Devil to look and be like–handsome, charming, tempting, and seemingly flawless. He has a pivotal role to play in the battle between good and evil and seems to be sitting it out. I have never seen a Lucifer you would dare to like or even empathize with. Good writing and excellent story lines are the key to making this show a hit. It is definitely another “unnatural creature who falls for a policewoman” show. However, this one will do what Supernatural, Sleepy Hollow, Forever, and Bones failed to do–outright engross us!

You can catch Lucifer when it debuts sometime in 2016. Let’s shoot for midseason on another show’s Winter Break. Until then!

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, where it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -Michael Jonvier
