Nordstrom’s Anniversary is under way and this year they’re connecting all the dots for an amazing marketing strategy. Nordstrom decided to bring celebrities and social media influencers to connect online and in-store for sales promotion. The promotional video for the Anniversary Sale showed celebrities and influencers dancing and having a good time to feel good music. Individual personalities shined to bring in social media efforts, email content and in-store placements to round up their sales and traffic from brick and mortar stores to online sales. Giving the highlights of the merchandise an extra boost. The creatives involved this marketing strategy were the actress, Melissa McCarthy, YouTube sensation, Joey Graceffa, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Band leader, Mr. Batiste, actor/activist Rhi Blossom, model Ms. Ly, and Skylar Diggins.
The promo video expressed all the great styles, looks, and pieces that customers can buy at a discount. Mr. Batiste, of course, had his own melodic taste to the mix giving the tagline “Those who know, go!” some spice. The sale is going to be just a big as the talents that represent it’s promotion because Nordstrom is not just using them. They’re also using everyday people that are purchasing from the sale and using the hashtag #OOTD. Nordstrom will be displaying these post on LED screens in their stores, giving the event a life of its own. It’s truly impressive how they’re gaping the bridge of celebrity and public while making it looking easy and fun. The Anniversary ends August 2nd so you might wanna hurry!
