The Schembri Twins are Determined to Serve Fairy Dust All Across ATL

At Only 9 Years Old, The Schembri Twins are Determined to Serve Fashion, Philanthropy and Fairy Dust All Across ATL

You may have seen them on billboards in NYC, walking the runway during Atlanta International Fashion Week or even on Sister Circle Live giving us back to school fashion. The Schembri Twins are here and not going anywhere anytime soon.

Fraternal fashion models and mini philanthropists Beverly-Claire Schembri and Madeleine Schembri are The Schembri Twins. These mini superstars told KONTROL Magazine about all the good things they have going on with hopes of inspiring children just like them.

The Schembri Twins were not always models, as a matter of fact they lived a normal childhood life until they came head on to what no parent wants their child to experience, bullying. In an article they told ROLLING OUT Magazine, “last summer, mean girls viciously taunted Madeleine at a science camp, calling her ugly and teasing her about her “super big” lips. Initially, Madeleine didn’t know how to deal with it on her own, so she internalized it and allowed it to take root in her then just 8-year-old mind and damaged her self-esteem.” With this their parents went right into fix it mode. “My mom and dad helped me feel stronger after being bullied,” says Madeleine. “I want my girls to know that they are beautiful, inside and out, so what better way to boost their confidence and build their empires than through modeling,” says mother and manager Beverly Schembri.

In addition to being models, the twins have a real passion for helping others which also inspired their non-profit Our Giving Group which helps homeless kids with school supplies, clothes and fundraising for super fun field trips. These girls are just getting started but in a MAJOR way. Having worked with celebrity photographer Derek Blanks, locked in a summer campaign with handbag line P. Sherrod & Co., worked with Pop Girl Poms, Galexie Glister, and KIDRAQ eyewear, the Schembri Twins are working harder than most adults we know! The girls are also naturalistas and enjoy brands such as Design Essentials, Tailored Beauty, Curlanista, Miss Jessie’s with hopes of being brand ambassadors in the near future.
