The 2015 Resort Collection was presented including designers such as Alexander Wang, Escada, and Gucci yesterday, June 3rd. The collections carry over 40 looks from more than 20 designers. Kontrol has our Top 5 Designers who’s collection were fabulous, but worth the wait.
Gucci
Yesterday Gucci made it clear at the show that print and floral were a must for this year collection. A style that will make any man stand back and watch a woman strut her stuff. “I went beyond the flower box and picked botanicals that either blossomed at night, dawn, or dusk, but also chose plants that have strong roots for adaptability, persistence, and resistance in harsh environments,” Knight stated.
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton collection is significantlly filled with more embellishment than last year, mixing several patterns, and adding texture. Definitely a more playful look.
Escada
Bold has always been Escada’s other name and this collection fashion director, Daniel Wingate did not stray away from that at all. Daniel wanted to offer his confident customers more than just Resort-standard nautical fare. Upping the ante, he combined stripes with a hand-painted paisley pattern on the standout opener: a rich jacquard blazer shown over matching silk pajama-like separates.
Alexader Wang
Definitely a ‘Boy Meets World’ type of style, and not talking about an every day Topanga look. Alexander Wang presents a grunge meets feminine look. After seeing his collection, we can not wait until theH&M and Alexander Wang collection is released on November 6th.
Marc Jacobs
Accorindg to Style.com, Marc Jacobs has your next New Year’s Eve dress all sorted, and I couldn’t agree more. The former Creative Director for Louis Vuitton Dolly presented bird minidresses in black guipure lace, jewel-toned crushed velvet, or leopard-printed sequins worn with sheer black hose and strappy heels or slouchy go-go boots formed the crux of the lineup. “People getting dressed up, going out. Happy, lively,” offered Jacobs’ design director, Joseph Carter, when he was asked for a few words backstage.
