Its been over a year since the death of Wiz Khalifa’s uncle Imani Porter. The case has been lingering in the legal system for a while, but now we got news that the two guys involved in the shooting have pleaded guilty to the murder of the Pittsburgh rapper’s uncle.
The incident took place back on January 8th, 2014 in a parking lot located in Munhall, Pennsylvania. Porter, who was 20-years-old at the time, was shot during a drug-related confrontation. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Michael Wolford (21-years-old) and Jaron Young (19-years-old) confessed to the murder of Porter.
The incident happened when Young asked Porter for free heroine. That is when Wolford’s gun went off hitting Porter in the head and killing him instantly.
Wolford pleaded guilty to charges including robbery and third-degree murder and will be behind bars for 30 to 60 years. Young, who was 17 at the time of the crime, pleaded guilty to similar charges and was sentenced to 12 and a half to 25 years in prison.
No words from Wiz Khalifa himself just yet about the case but we are sure he is happy that justice is served his late uncle can finally rest in peace. Prayers go out to the family and friends of Imani Porter.
