The Oscars, always an enjoyable award show to watch. For two hours, viewers can see an animated theatrical production with a room filled with the biggest stars, producers, and directors under one roof. Elegant is the dress code for the evening. My eyes were entwined with my television screen when I saw the exquisite Calvin Klein, Elie Saab, Givenchy, and Chanel dresses.

So, as Kontrol’s tradition, and to pay homage to the last of awards season… for now, here is a recap on the top dresses seen at the 87th Academy Awards.

Actress Lupita Nyong’o had on a beautiful long, white, and embroidered dress by Calvin Klein. The frontal portion of the dress is low cut but slightly closed in the middle to create a diamond shape. The color of the dress radiates against Lupita’s skin and her accessories are the icing on top! Her shoes were by Nicholas Kirkwood and jewelry by Chopard.

All hail Queen Jennifer! Madame Lopez graced the Red Carpet with her gown by Elie Saab. I love the flow from the lower portion of the dress! The top of the dress is low-cut, fitted, and flow into a wide, open lower end. The gold embroidery at the upper part of the gown flows into the bottom portion of the dress like a river. This is a perfect dress fit for a queen.

Reese Witherspoon looked regal in her simple, yet stunning, black and white dress by Tom Ford, and jewels by Tiffany and Company.

Kerry Washington graced the red carpet with her dress by Miu Miu. The cream color also gives off a simple yet elegant look on her.

Divine! Look at the confidence on actress, Zoe Saldana! She is stunning! This dress look and fits perfectly on her. Zoe is wearing an eye-popping dress from Atelier Versace.
