Plaid and tartan are clearly the trend for this fall and winter seasons and there are many options to wear and pair them with various type of fabrics. The two terms, plaid and tartan, are often mixed so just for your information, tartan is actually a type of plaid woven in wool. Tartan and plaid can give to your style an edgy and laidback look or also a chic and elegant touch. Whether the print is used on a skirt, a dress, a coat or a pair of pants, the choices of tartan print styles are just as wide as the colors used. Usually black is the main component of the checkered print. Green, red or blue are also some hues usually added to it but the list does not stop there.
